Executive Board Winter ’24

Miles "Mudkip" Yada

PRESIDENT

Bio
Year: Senior
Major: Applied Math
Hobbies: Being outside, playing piano, and fishing

Testimony: I grew up going to a small church with my family however I missed community in the church because there weren’t any kids my age. Coming to college I wanted community and people I could grow with and I was slightly interested in Greek life so naturally AGO was the place to be. I rushed and have had a great experience being with the brothers and fostering my faith.

CHAPLAIN

Bio
Year: Junior
Major: Psychology & Anthropology
Hobbies: Weightlifting, ball, chillin’ with the boys, and Smash Bros.

Testimony: I came into college looking for good Christian community and that is exactly what I found with AGO. The guys are so real with one another and I love the Christ-centeredness of the fraternity where every event we do is for God’s glory. Living at the house has been such an amazing experience and the brotherhood that we share is unlike any other.

Elisha "Wallbreaker" Johnston

PLEDGEMASTER & TREASURER

Bio
Year: Senior
Major: Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology
Hobbies: Mountain biking, calisthenics, lifting, and guitar

Testimony: Growing up in a Christian family, I always tried to follow Jesus. However, a big part of this was simply because my family was Christian, instead of coming from my heart. When I turned 18, however, I lost the majority of contact with my family. One of my friends was a part of AGO at the time, and he let me stay at AGO temporarily. I ended up really enjoying the time and moved in permanently, loving the brotherhood I saw while living as a boarder. I then joined my first quarter at UCLA.

Testimony
I came to UCLA unsure of what I wanted to do, but I knew I needed something to keep me grounded in my faith throughout my college journey. I’ve been blessed in finding a close-knit community of guys that support each other in our academic and career endeavors while finding time to hang out together and meet new people. The brothers at AGO have helped me grow in my spiritual journey as a Christian and provided many memorable experiences during my time at UCLA.

Testimony

I grew up in a Christian household, and I was concerned about losing my faith when I moved to college. Before moving here, I reached out to AGO and they offered me a place to live with a bunch of Christian guys. I rushed that quarter and it’s been a great experience getting to know all the brothers. AGO has been a sanctuary for me and a great place to live and have fun with the guys who really feel like family to me.

Year: Senior
Major: Chemical Engineering
Hobbies: Backpacking, hiking, photography, and watching YouTube (a lot)

Testimony:
When I got to UCLA during the pandemic, I struggled to make meaningful connections with others online, constantly desiring more from my experience. In my Winter quarter, I found AGO looking for housing with other Christians. Beyond housing, I found a welcoming and amazing group of strong, Christian young men with whom I could find accountability and growth. AGO has helped me push forward in life, in many ways, and I’m confident to say that I wouldn’t be the man I am now without my brothers. #strongtheties

Eli "Aristhrottle" Mayerson

Bio
Year: Junior
Major: Philosophy
Hobbies: Playing basketball, board games, and exploring the world

Testimony:
I gave my life to Christ on a mission trip after my freshman year of high school. When I was transferring to UCLA, my housing situation fell apart, and AGO let me stay as a tenant. During my time, I saw how genuine and faithful the brotherhood at AGO was, so I decided to join last quarter. It’s been an incredible experience growing closer with the men of AGO and experiencing the eternal brotherhood we share.

Daniel "Lil D" Keum

Bio
Year: Junior
Major: Sociology
Hobbies: Playing video games, cello, reading manhwa, and snowboarding

Testimony:
I grew up in a Christian household and felt distant from God throughout my life. Yet, my first quarter here changed my life forever. I was skeptical of a Christian frat, since I thought it was a Christian frat by name. I was entirely wrong. I grew a lot in my faith, especially with the accountability. AGO has helped me tremendously in my walk with God and helped me mature. Everyone in AGO is like my older brother.

Bio

Major: Psychology
Hobbies: Gaming, going nuts in the gym, movies (romcoms or dystopian movies), anime, and going out

Testimony:

I grew up in a Christian household but was never really Christian myself. I gave my life to God shortly before coming to UCLA as a baby Christian growing in the faith. The boys legit took me off the streets and it’s been a great journey with them. Been good growing in God and finding people I can call brothers. The boys at AGO are genuinely trying to seek the heart of God and that’s what’s attracted me. I’m looking forward to more adventures with them.

Daniel "Swaggy D" Mitchell

Bio
Year: Sophomore
Major: Mechanical Engineering
Hobbies: Swimming, lifting heavy weights, and touching grass/staring at the sun to absorb all of its powers

Testimony:
I’ve been Christian all my life and came to accept Christ at an early age. Initially, in my freshman year, I stumbled upon AGO through a bruin walk table and showed up to a couple of rush events, but eventually dipped cuz initially it seemed kinda sketchy and I had time conflicts with many of my other activities. But eventually, I was called back to AGO, since I was desperately missing a genuine brotherhood, and that was offered by the AGO  Christ-centered community. At AGO, I have found a sense of belonging that surpassed any previous experiences, rooted in shared values and a deep commitment to faith, which is why I ultimately joined AGO.

Davian "Ghetto Fabulous" Sanchez

Bio
Year: Freshman
Major: Human Biology & Society
Hobbies: Playing the guitar, listening to music, skating, and playing video games

Testimony:
I was raised in a Catholic household, but it was not until recently my faith started to grow. My grandmother always tried to foster my faith growing up, and after her passing it stuck to me. My faith has become immensely important to me, so I began to look for a group that I could see myself grow in, and after attending Jesus Burgers I knew I wanted to be a part of AGO. AGO is a group of amazing guys that are always there for me, spiritually and as brothers.
